Please arrive at the cinema on time. You may be denied access to the screening after the start of the film.

In case of a film rating of 16+, only visitors aged 16 years and older will be granted access to the film screening.

LIFF started in 2006. Back then, the festival lasted only two days. We have now grown to be one of the largest filmfestivals in the Netherlands. Every year, LIFF will guarantee major international premieres, interesting storytellers from all over the film world and of course, the best parties!

That's not really a question, but for more information, you can always have a look at our program which is online now.

The full program of 2022 is online now. However, in the busy film world, a special and unexpected premiere may just sneak in last minute. So make sure to stay informed by subscribing to our newsletter and following us on Facebook or Instagram.

Do you prefer to buy your tickets at the box office? This is possible from the 3rd of November (box office hours 18.30-19.30h). From the 4th till the 13th of November, the festival ticket offices open 30 minutes before the start of the first film.

LIFF takes place in the city center of Leiden. Most screenings are in Trianon, Kijkhuis and LIDO, but a few specials are shown elsewhere. The location is always stated on the website as well as the movie ticket. Check out the full list of our festival locations, Note: all festival ticket offices are Pin Only.

Yes! During the festival you can go to our ticket offices in Trianon, Kijkhuis and LIDO. The ticket offices in Trianon and Kijkhuis open 30 minutes before the start of the first film. All cash registers at LIFF are Pin Only.

It is not possible to select seats when buying your tickets, so you can sit anywhere you like!

It is not possible to return purchased tickets. Your purchase are final as soon as the payment order has been issued. If something went wrong with your order, please send an email with a brief explanation to info@liff.nl.

Cineville tickets can be canceled up to 15 minutes before the start of the film. This can be done through My LIFF.

Yes! You have a free ticket for LIFF! With this you can go to all film screenings in cinema.

How do I use my free ticket?

First choose the film you want to see. Then select 'free ticket' in your shopping basket. In the box below, enter the code printed on your free ticket. Next, click on 'add'. When the box turns green, your code has been verified. Now complete the ordering process. You will then receive your e-ticket(s) in the mail.

If you have purchased your tickets online, you will receive an email with your ticket and a barcode. You do not have to print this e-ticket, you can just show the e-ticket on a smartphone or tablet at the entrance of the cinema. Online ticket sales close half an hour before a film starts. If the movie is not yet sold out, tickets will still be sold at the ticket offices on location. Note: Pin Only.

It is not possible to select seats when buying your tickets, so you can sit anywhere you want!

* Cineville and the prepaid tickets are not valid for special screenings outside of the cinema.

Forgot your password? Not a problem. 

Go to 'log in' and click on 'forgot password'. Enter your email address and click on send. Afterwards, you will receive and email with a link. Through this link you can choose a new password. 

If you have paid but not immediately received an e-mail with your ticket, you can refresh your inbox first. It can also happen that the tickets end up in your spam box.
If you have taken a good look everywhere, you can always send an email to info@fliff.nl. We will then check whether the order is in the ticket system and can send the tickets again. Some emails can be delayed up to a day.

Wheelchair accessibility differs per location.

Trianon
Trianon 1 has wheelchair spaces. The entrance of the hall is slightly sloping. The building has a wheelchair friendly toilet. In Trianon 2 and 3, it is possible to create wheelchair spaces. In this case, the wheelchair is placed in front of the first row of seats in the cinema. Large mobility scooters only fit in Room 1 of Trianon.

Kijkhuis
Room 1 is accessible with a wheelchair in the Kijkhuis. To be able to enter the building, a ramp will be laid out. The toilets in the Kijkhuis are not wheelchairfriendly.

LIDO
Unfortunately, LIDO 3 is not accessible for wheelchair users. 

The new cinema's that will be built, will be made fully wheelchair accessible. 

You can easily reach Leiden by train. From the central station, it is about a ten minute walk to the various festival locations, or a few minutes by bus. Do you prefer to come by car? In that case, you can park your car in one of the municipal parking locations, which are also close to the festival locations.

Going to LIFF with a large group? This is possible with a nice discount to make your group trip even more fun! Of course prepaid tickets can also be used for LIFFicionado's who want to attend lots of movies themselves! Whether you want to watch the same film with ten different people, or go to ten films on your own: the prepaid tickets are perfect for you.

The Cineville pass provides access to 10 film screenings at cinemas during LIFF this year. 

Purchasing the Cineville pass

Simply order your Cineville pass online. After paying the first term, you’ll get an e-mail with your temporary Cineville pass, which you can then use to order film tickets right away. The temporary pass can only be scanned from paper so please bring a printed version of your temporary pass with you to check-in your film tickets. 

Ordering a film ticket with Cineville

When ordering tickets, choose ticket type 'Cineville' and enter the code on your Cineville pass in the box below. Next, click on 'add'. If the box turns green, you know the ticket has been verified. Then complete the ordering process. You should receive your film ticket(s) in your mailbox. Please note: the e-ticket does not contain a barcode.

From 4 hours till 15 minutes before the start of a screening you can check-in the e-tickets your purchased with your Cineville pass. Otherwise, your Cineville reservation will be cancelled. You can check-in at the cinemas (LIDO, Trianon and Kijkhuis). After checking-in a barcode will appear on your e-ticket.

Cancel your Cineville reservation

If you cannot or do not want to use a booking, we would like to ask you to cancel your reservation in time. You can do this in Mijn LIFF. In the 'Upcoming Films' overview, go to the film you want to cancel your ticket for. Click on the menu at the top right of the film's image. Choose the option 'Cancel ticket'. The message 'ticket cancelled' will appear. Note: the film will remain in the overview with '0 tickets'.

The Cineville card is a monthly subscription that gives you unlimited access to all regular and many special filmscreenings from film theaters in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague, Utrecht, Maastricht, Haarlem, Leiden, Zwolle, Alkmaar, Schiedam, Dordrecht, Diemen, Delft and Castricum. This will only cost you € 17.50 (≤ 29 years) or € 21 per month.

In addition, the pass also provides access to 10 film screenings at cinemas during LIFF this year. The subscription is for a minimum of four months, after which you can cancel every month.
