Description
Renowned musician Olga Pashchenko will perform a beautiful piano score, composed by Jed Wentz, to accompany F.W. Murnau’s film Der Letzte Mann (1924): the touching, tragic story of a hotel doorman who gets demoted when he can no longer perform his duties in his old age. The impressive flowing camera movements, which often take the point of view of the doorman, immerse the audience in a deeply personal tragedy.
Film lecturer and author Peter Verstraten will provide a fascinating introduction to this film concert from 19:30 to 20:00.
We present this film concert in collaboration with the Leidse Schouwburg – Stadsgehoorzaal.
