Description
Afghanistan veteran Merit has a lot of support from her best friend Zoe. One thing complicates the friendship: Zoe is dead. Despite tough love from her mother, helpful efforts from her counselor and an unexpected love, the friendship with Zoe causes Merit to become increasingly isolated. That changes when she is called to give her grandfather, a Vietnam veteran, the help he has always refused. This dark comedy drama won the hearts of visitors as well as an audience award at the SXSW film festival.
