Description
Thrilling story about two brothers: Connie (Robert Pattinson) and Nick (Benny Safdie). When Nick is arrested, Connie undertakes a laborious journey through the New York underworld in order to free Nick. The newly Edison-nominated pianist and composer Matteo Myderwyk has composed a special soundtrack for this epic film, which he will perform exclusively at LIFF and Film Festival Ghent.
Matteo Myderwyk uses synthesizers and other electronic sound sources. When this project was presented to him by LIFF, he did not have to think twice about accepting. The film and the original soundtrack (Oneohtrix Point Never, warp records) are among his personal favorites: “it is a great honor to let go of my own musical vision on this exciting and beautifully moving story. I try to stay true to my own musical idiom as well as the plot.”
