Description
It is the last month of summer before American-Taiwanese Chris (13) goes to high school. That month, he wants to learn new things like skateboarding, kissing and how to deal with his family’s expectations. Writer and director Sean Wang based this award-winning ode to growing up, especially growing up as a child to immigrant parents, on his own experiences, which explains why he captures the essence of the 00’s so perfectly. A film for every teenager and anyone who has ever been a teenager.
