Description
When a pope dies, the new pope must be chosen during a conclave: an election process for which all eligible cardinals come to the Vatican. It is up to Cardinal Lawrence (Ralph Fiennes) to ensure that this process runs smoothly, while rumors and revelations about the sins of various candidates pile up. This thrilling drama film from Edward Berger (All Quiet on the Western Front) is based on the book of the same name by Robert Harris and features great supporting roles for Stanley Tucci, John Lithgow and Isabella Rossellini, among others.
