Description
Neurologist Sayers uses a groundbreaking experiment to recover a patient who has been in a catatonic state for 30 years. As the man tries to catch up with the past 30 years, he is confronted with the side effects. Based on the notes of neurologist Oliver Sacks and starring Robin Williams, Robert De Niro and Julie Kavner. Daniel Dumas, research physician and clinical scientist Neurology for the CHDR will introduce the film.
The Centre for Human Drug Research is a foundation from Leiden. They test the effects of a range of medicines on healthy volunteers as well as patients. The money earned from this will be invested in the CHDR’s own research, the training of new investigators, and educating people about the importance of drug research.
